This is by far our most popular service. Some customers don’t have a clue where to start. Historically, when Independent kitchen designers were uncommon, customers would choose their retailer, get a free design then purchase or shop around using the design.
However, the problem is, the chosen retailer is limited by their product offering, systems and business profit expectations. Undoubtably, their main goal is to sell to you, not design your dream kitchen.
In addition, once they complete a design, there are no recommendations. They don’t tell you how you can save money by shopping around for certain products.
When shopping around, each retailer is never ‘like for like’. They all sell different products and have different offers so it becomes a minefield.
At Beau Bijou Design, we have no limitations. Our independent kitchen designer service is based on your personal requirements, your character and personality as well as considering your budget and timescales. Only once we have completed your design would we know which retailer suits you best.
We use the best design software providing you with amazing visuals. We break down the product listing adding recommendations for each product and service. In addition, we will even help to source the kitchen and all related products, timing everything to perfection! On average our customers save £3,000 versus the full packages from kitchen retailers.

The kitchen Design process
Step 1: Ideas
It All Starts With A Free Consultation Call
During the call, we will really get into the detail. Subsequently, understanding how you will use the kitchen and get to understand your personality and character. Your dedicated designer will discuss any specific items you have already chosen and your preferred products and suppliers. As a small, independent company, customer service is at the forefront so we do not limit offerings to those shown. Ask if there is something else you feel we could help you with!
Step 2: Measurements
Most customers supply measurements. We offer measure service in North of England only
However we get the measurements, the first task is a sense check against any images of the space and / or existing designs. We will use the measurements as a note pad to add all of our ideas during the consultation and start to build a plan. If you would like a home service outside of the North of England, please contact for a bespoke price. The #1 priority is always accuracy and function which comes first in the process then the fun begins….
Step 3: Design
2D Plans and HD Images produced
Using the best kitchen design software, we will we will render the high definition images to help you visualise your new kitchen. Knowing what is going into each drawer and cupboard and how the kitchen will be used. We will have considered and added wall and floor coverings, accurate depictions of existing items such as doors and windows and even recommended specific paint including RAL colours. All part of the kitchen planning service.
Step 4: Supplier Recommendations
Supplier Recommendations
We propose a supplier for each item, leveraging expertise and network, and extend any negotiated discounts to you. We only endorse businesses that we previously collaborated with and have provided excellent service. On average, our customers save £3,000 through this complimentary service. We also help manage the order placement and delivery ensuring everything is delivered, right when you need it!
