Utilising top-tier design software, I generate Ultra Realistic visuals. But my main focus is to create functional kitchens that are tailored to your needs. Notably, this particular design was crafted with a Kuhlmann kitchen and incorporated some delightful design elements.
By reducing the ceiling height above the island, I can introduce some truly innovative lighting concepts. The wooden strip above the appliances disrupts the wall continuity, giving the kitchen a more cosy feel. The worktop with a waterfall edge not only serves as a breakfast bar but also conceals the flush induction hob, which is hidden by the 120mm Worktop.
Strip lights embedded into the worktop emphasise the wood grain and add vitality to the kitchen. Tongue and groove wall panels, which can be painted in any colour, are an incredible design feature and also cost-effective.

During the call, I will really get into the detail. Subsequently, understanding how you will use the kitchen and get to understand your personality and character. As your dedicated designer, I will discuss any specific items you have already chosen and your preferred products and suppliers. As a small, independent company, customer service is at the forefront so I do not limit offerings to those shown. Ask if there is something else you feel I could help you with!
However I get the measurements, the first task is a sense check against any images of the space and / or existing designs. I will use the measurements as a note pad to add all of our ideas during the consultation and start to build a plan. Using the best kitchen design software, I will produce 2d plans annotated in detail to show every item. From here, I will render the high definition images to help you visualise your new kitchen. Knowing what is going into each drawer and cupboard and how the kitchen will be used. I will have considered and added wall and floor coverings, accurate depictions of existing items such as doors and windows and even recommended specific paint including RAL colours. I propose a supplier for each item, leveraging expertise and network, and extend any negotiated discounts to you. I only endorse businesses that I previously collaborated with and have provided excellent service. On average, my customers save £3,000 through this complimentary service. This is by far our most popular service. Some customers don’t have a clue where to start. Historically, customers would choose their retailer, get a free design then purchase or shop around using the design. However, the problem is, the chosen retailer is limited by their product offering, systems and business profit expectations. Undoubtably, their main goal is to sell to you, not design your dream kitchen. In addition, once they complete a design, there are no recommendations. They don’t tell you how you can save money by shopping around for certain products.
When shopping around, each retailer is never ‘like for like’. They all sell different products and have different offers so it becomes a minefield.
At Beau Bijou Design, I have no limitations. My independent kitchen designer service is based on your personal requirements, your character and personality as well as considering your budget and timescales. Only once I have completed your design would I know which retailer suits you best. I use the best design software providing you with amazing visuals. I break down the product listing adding recommendations for each product and service. In additions, I will even help to source the products and time everything to perfection! It all starts with a free consultation by video or telephone to discuss requirements. These calls can be anything from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the size of the project. During this call I will gain an insight into your personality and how you use the kitchen. Any ideas you may already have including any products you may have already decided on will be discussed.
I will make a rough hand sketch of the kitchen plan making sure to include the important parts to give us a starting point for your perfect kitchen plan.
Following on from the consultation, I will produce a beautiful kitchen design. I will make sure to include everything discussed during the call. This design will be unique to you and one of a kind. Forget the generic designs people see daily where every kitchen is a carbon copy of every other. Your amazing kitchen will stand out above the rest and really reflect your character. Every aspect of the design will be well thought out. No more putting units in to fill a gap, each will have a purpose and we will know already what goes into every cupboard.
Some customers like order, symmetry and practicality , some like a more abstract look with splashes of colour. Every kitchen plan is different. The personalised kitchen planning service will include a technical drawing and elevations to make the installation a breeze!
Once I produce the plan, I will generate a HD image to show the finished article. This is where you start to visualise your fabulous new kitchen. Also, the part when the real work starts in some cases.
