This kitchen transformed my house and my life, and I couldn’t be happier!

Working with Beau Bijou Design was a leap of faith for me, especially because the project was so large and I’d never met the team in person. My biggest worry was whether I’d be able to communicate exactly what I wanted, especially as I’m the most indecisive person ever and knew I’d have endless questions. I needed someone patient and dedicated, and I found exactly that in Beau Bijou Design. 

I’d already fallen in love with DIY Kitchens after a showroom visit, but I knew I needed an expert to guide me through the design and ordering process. The technical side of such an important project was totally overwhelming, so having an independent kitchen designer with experience in kitchens, and especially DIY Kitchens, to lean on was a game-changer. 

The project itself was an extension, creating a brand new kitchen space in an open-plan area. It involved knocking down walls and coordinating with a whole host of other trades: builders, electricians, plumbers, and more. It all felt a bit hectic and stressful at times, but having Beau Bijou Design in my corner made a huge difference. 

The design process and communication were superb. My main challenge was making sure my vision was clear, so I sketched my ideas and sent them over. Once Richard understood what I wanted, his communication was exceptional, always prompt, honest, and reliable. I could send as many emails and messages as I liked, and he never got fed up with me. Even when little issues cropped up, the response and resolution were always excellent.

I was more focused on getting everything right than rushing. Quality was the priority, and they absolutely delivered. Richard even recommended a bifold opening cupboard unit for a tricky side space, which was something I’d never considered but now absolutely love. My coffee machine fits perfectly in there.

I also purchased a Quooker tap through Beau Bijou Design at an extra discount, which has been a real luxury. Having instant boiling water on tap is such a time saver for making drinks and cooking. I chose a Schock sink as well, which looks fantastic and is super durable and easy to keep clean.

The installation and after-sales support were outstanding. There were a few inevitable hiccups, but Richard was always there to help, whether it was with advice or reordering a part. The level of service and commitment was honestly above and beyond.

Now, every time I walk into my kitchen, I can’t believe it’s mine. It’s transformed my house and my life, and I couldn’t be happier. The decisions I made with Beau Bijou Design’s guidance were spot on, and I find myself just admiring the space all the time. 

I would 100% recommend Beau Bijou Design to anyone. The experience was miles better than anything I’ve had with Howdens, B&Q or Wickes.

I wouldn’t change a thing about my experience, and I’m so grateful I didn’t go with one of the big chains’ plans. As for product range, I only had to source a wine cooler and appliances elsewhere with Richard’s support. Everything else was covered. Just keep up the brilliant attention to detail and care for your clients.
