We started our new kitchen project because we were doing an extension on the ground floor of our house. The old kitchen was becoming a utility space, and the new area was going to be our main kitchen and living area.
At first, we tried to design the kitchen ourselves through DIY Kitchens, but we quickly became overwhelmed, especially when we wanted some bespoke items. It didn’t feel right to place such a big order without expert advice. After some online research, we found Beau Bijou Design. They work with DIY Kitchens and offer a full design service and support, which really appealed to us. Reading their reviews gave us the confidence that this was the help we needed to bring our dream kitchen to life.
Before working with Beau Bijou, we’d looked at some of the big companies like Howdens and Magnet, but the quotes didn’t seem to match the quality. DIY Kitchens gave us more flexibility, but we didn’t feel supported or confident enough to place an order. That turned out to be the best decision we could have made. The quality of the new kitchen is honestly on another level, every detail, finish, and material feels a cut above anything we’d seen before. The craftsmanship is outstanding and the whole space just feels so solid, luxurious, and beautifully put together. We’ve had so many compliments from friends and family about how stunning the kitchen looks and feels.

This was the biggest build we’ve ever done. It was a complete ground floor reconfiguration and extension, so there was a lot going on and the kitchen became the focal point. Our builders installed the kitchen, and any questions they had were quickly answered by Beau Bijou Design. Chris was always on hand to support us and the builders during the install.
The design process and communication were great. The design service fee meant we had constant support and as many design changes as we needed until we were completely happy. What was even better was that this fee was then taken off the final price of the kitchen at the end, which made it feel like even better value. Even though there was quite a long time between ordering and installation, we never felt unsupported or forgotten. Chris and the team were always there when we needed them.
What stood out most was the honest advice and guidance. It never felt like they were trying to sell us extras, and the service was excellent value for money.
Turnaround times were realistic and always clearly communicated. When we needed to delay the delivery by a week because of a build delay, Beau Bijou Design sorted it out for us without any hassle.
One of the recommended products was a boiling water tap and honestly, we wouldn’t be without it now.
The installation and after-sales support were fantastic. Beau Bijou Design were always just a message or call away. We never felt ignored and any issues during installation were sorted quickly and supportively.
Now that we’ve been using the kitchen for a while, we absolutely love it and still can’t believe it’s ours. The quality stands out every single day—we notice it in the smoothness of the drawers, the feel of the worktops, and the way everything fits perfectly. We recently hosted Christmas dinner for our family and everyone commented on how beautiful the kitchen is.
We got our oven and appliances direct from AO, as Beau Bijou were clear this was cheaper than they could source, and we really appreciated the honesty and integrity.
