After visiting the DIY Kitchens showroom and trying their online design tool, we realised we needed expert help to make the most of our space. That’s when we found Richard and the Beau Bijou Design team online. We wanted a kitchen perfectly tailored to our needs and right from our first enquiry, the experience was fantastic.
From the very beginning, Richard’s customer service stood out. He was always quick to reply, proactively communicated at every stage, and welcomed every design change without hesitation. His patience and flexibility meant that no request was too small and every detail was expertly implemented, helping us refine our plans until they matched our vision exactly.
A huge bonus was that this level of service came at no extra cost. The initial design fee was fully refunded when we placed our kitchen order, which was especially helpful during our major renovation.
Our project involved a complete renovation of a bungalow, giving us a blank canvas. Richard guided us through every step, helping us maximise our kitchen and utility room space. After sharing our ideas and discussing appliances and budgets, we quickly received 3D designs. With just a couple of collaborative revisions, we soon had our final plans ready. We also added a personal touch to the utility room by designing a dedicated dog shower, which has made daily routines easier and added even more functionality to the space.
Throughout the process, Richard’s experience in the industry and strong network of contacts made the journey much smoother and more enjoyable. He helped us source stunning quartz worktops that truly elevate the look of our kitchen. The quality of the worktops is outstanding and you can really see the difference they make, both in appearance and durability. The workmanship from the suppliers and installer was excellent, with every detail finished to a high standard and the fit absolutely spot on.
Another highlight was the Miro extractor, which Richard sourced and which fits perfectly into a unit where no other extractor could have worked. We had previously purchased an AEG extractor online and it was too late to return but Richard agreed to purchase this from me at the price paid so I was not out of pocket.
Beau Bijou Design managed to secure us a Quooker tap at a huge discount compared to online prices, giving us access to premium products at prices we wouldn’t find elsewhere. It is the Quooker Fusion in Patinated Brass which looks amazing! When we discovered that the Belfast sink supplied by DIY Kitchens was wider than advertised, Richard immediately sourced a replacement from The 1810 Company, arranged a discount for us, and even had the supplier measure the sinks before sending to ensure the perfect fit. He also took care of agreeing the return with DIY Kitchens, so the whole situation was resolved smoothly and without stress.
When it was time to book delivery, Richard and his team organised everything. Even when delays meant we had to reschedule, they handled it all, removing the hassle and keeping the process stress free. Any delivery hiccups, such as missing items, were sorted promptly with replacements arriving quickly. During installation, Richard was always available to provide advice and support, making the process straightforward even for those of us without kitchen fitting experience. Whenever we encountered any challenges, his guidance kept everything on track and our worktops were installed in time for Christmas.
Looking back, we are genuinely thrilled with our new kitchen and utility room. The whole experience was stress free, personal, and enjoyable from start to finish.
